Djarum Little Cigars

Hey. Welcome back to Real Cig Review. My name is Dan. Today, I am going to go ahead and do another little cigar. This is going to be the Djarum, and I don’t if I’m saying that right or not. These are Djarum Special; these are the base little cigars. It has 12 filtered clove cigars inside it here. Taking a look at the packaging on this, pretty plain, pretty basic. It has a little Djarum symbol up here at the top. It also says Djarum then it’s got Special underneath that. It says ’12 Filtered Clove Cigars.’ It has red up here with the little black bars, and white down on the bottom. Bar code, and Surgeon General warning on this side over here. I am not even sure if that’s the Surgeon General warning, it’s actually on the back, and says, basically, it contains the same stuff, carcinogens and everything, that cigarettes and other cigars have. Anyway, this is going to be the Djarum.

As far as packaging goes, I am going to give the packaging about a 5 on that. Pretty Plain Jane, nothing real spectacular about it. Let’s go ahead and open them, give them a look, and see how they look. Wow. I can smell them already. Taking a look this is in the inside; right here across the top of the lip it says Djarum, right there. It’s got a regular gold foil on the inside with a little symbol. Let’s go ahead and pull the foil out and take a look at the cigars. Let’s go ahead and pull one of these cigars out and have a look. It’s kind of interesting the way it looks right off the bat. It’s got a standard blunt-style paper on there, and the filter is just a little bit darker, as you can see. On the filter it does say Djarum. I don’t know if you can see that or not. Little light gold band, it is goldish, brownish looking. Let’s go ahead and have a smell of this.

Wow. It smells really peppery. It smells like cloves, is what it smells like, like a spice you would use to cook with. It smells really spicy; it has a really spicy smell to it. Let’s do a couple of dry pops on this, and see what kind of taste it puts off, just pulling on it dry. You know what; the first, initial little dry pop almost had like a bubble gum taste. I know that’s not quite accurate, but I definitely get a sense of that little spice in there. Let’s go ahead and fire this up and see what kind of taste it has. It’s crackling right off of that. Yuck.

Let’s go ahead and pull a nice full body into my mouth and see what kind of taste we get out of it. So far, it’s a little bit sketchy, but let’s go ahead and pull a full body into my mouth. Yuck. It’s definitely got that little bit of spicy flavor to it with a little bit of . . . I can defiantly tastes almost like cigary, but a cigar is not really the flavor that’s coming through real strong. Wow. So far, I really, really don’t like this so much. It’s got a really spicy flavor. It’s already burning my mouth a little bit. You can’t enjoy them all, I guess.

I am going to take a small drag of this. I am going to pull this into my lungs and see if we get any harshness or any kick in the lungs. I’m going to assume that it already does since my throat is already burning just a little bit. Yuck. I do get a little bit of harshness in the back of my throat. I almost get a sage flavor off of it, kind of like a cooking sage you’d use to cook with. The real spicy shit you’d put on a steak. It’s really potent; it’s really, really strong. These are the clove cigarettes and made in Indonesia, by the way. I am kind of at a loss for words on this one. The taste, flavor; very spicy. It’s got very much like a sage; it’s cleaning my sinuses out. I’ve got allergies, and it’s just wiping my sinuses out, big-time.

I’m going to take another drag of this. I am going to inhale it a little bit bigger than the last one, and try to get that feeling down in my lungs. I don’t like it. Wow. It’s almost spicy as in hot. It’s got a little bit of a kick to it. It’s burning the back of my throat. It’s totally different; it’s very unique from anything else I have ever smoked. I’m not really digging on this one. Take a look at the way it’s burning. That’s burning nice and smooth on there. It’s got some real discoloration going on down inside the paper just a little bit, which is a little weird.

Let’s go ahead and take a nice, full pull of this. I am going to blow it back out of my nostrils and see what kind of smell it has. Sorry, guys. This is not one I enjoy. I don’t like this, at all. It’s causing me to break out in a sweat and cleaning my sinuses out. There are so many things going on with this little cigar that it’s hard to put into words the sensation I am getting through it. Take a look at the filter. The filter is kind of clogging up with some yellowish-ness on there, but nothing real heavy; nothing real bad.

I’m going to take another pull of this. I don’t know if you can hear that or not when I am drawing on it, but it does do a bit of a crackle, which is kind of unique. I’ve never seen that on any of the other ones I have done before. Let go ahead and see if you can hear that crackle on here. It puts off a real big body. It’s got a really strong body to it. That spicy flavor, it’s really hard to get past that spicy real flavor

I am going to give the body of it about a 7. As far as taste, flavor, aroma; I don’t really care for it. I am going to give it about a 4. This is the Djarum Special, 12 Filtered Clove Cigars. Sorry about that review guys. I know this is a little bit off. Not my favorite. I know I will try the Djarum Blacks here one time. I should have got those today, but I picked these up instead.
